Easy duplication in PowerPoint

When creating a PowerPoint presentation it often happens that we need to copy and paste different text frames or objects elsewhere i.e. we need to duplicate different things.

One way to do this is to select and copy and then paste what we want in duplicate form. This went a long way. PowerPoint offers a very simple solution to this.

Suppose you add a square shape to a slide. Now you need to duplicate that square, so move your mouse over it. Now press the control key, this will change the shape of the cursor and you will see a plus sign. Now the shape can be easily duplicated by pressing the left mouse and dragging and dropping the shape. This command seems to work in many other programs as well.
